Anyone have an infrared camera or thermal imaging device? If you take infrared photos or thermal images of solar paneling when the sun is shining you might be surprised to see it registers as one of the hottest things in the photo or thermal image. Believe it or not, this is actual science! Look at the images the sky is cool..Not hot the solar paneling is hot. What exactly is the greenhouse effect? With an actual greenhouse with glass walls and ceilings exposed to the sun, the visible light penetrates the greenhouse and is converted to infrared when re-radiated from the inside surfaces of the glass and the whole interior of the space and that infrared wavelength does not pass through the glass until it becomes atomic vibrational energy that ultimately radiates infrared . That makes the greenhouse hot. Without the glass walls and ceiling/roof, the light could just be reflected back into space from which it came.
Solar panels retain sunlight but not all of it and they tend to be dark if not black like asphalt. Have you ever walked on hot asphalt pavement barefoot in the Sun? That dark asphalt is hotter on your feet than the cooler white concrete sidewalks. Try it some time. Take out your infrared camera again and your thermal imaging device and see which is warming the surface more. The white sidewalk or the black asphalt? Now point it at the grass under the solar panels and then on the solar panels which is hotter in the sun which means it is radiating heat most? The solar panels. Solar panels may be hooked up to a battery or the power grid. if they have top efficiency with is still pretty limited to a low percentage the retained power stores or working as current eventually, all becomes infrared after it is used when you plug something into it as the power source. So solar energy is retaining more heat near the earth's surface and in the atmosphere, longer than carbon dioxide can and carbon dioxide is only 0.04 percent of the atmosphere a tiny trace amount at most.
The bottom line is heat retention and conversion of visible light to infrared is the outcome of the law of conservation of energy. Everything ends up radiating as heat or is reflected as visible light when it comes to solar energy.. Full-spectrum from the sun also contains infrared and other wavelengths that have their own conversion factors. If not reflected back into space they stand a good chance of. 'warming' the earth. If we cover more of the surface of the earth with dark solar panels we are doing what has happened to cities worldwide with we find that urban areas have actually become warmer than the surrounding areas and that is because of all the Sun exposed concrete and asphalt. The urban warming effect is well documented and it warms those areas on earth far more than the co2 climate change models ever do for carbon gas "pollution."
What about wind turbines? Wind Turbines take the wind and convert it to an electric current that is used immediately or retained and the net of it is infrared at end of the conservation of energy cycle. if retained overnight for electric utility use it will warm the night with infrared emissions. Wind turbines also take the kinetic energy out of the wind. kinetic energy that moves wind is a bit like water sitting above a dam. It takes energy to lift water by evaporation to have it in the sky to drop it at high elevations as rain to get it over the top of the dam. The same thing is true of wind or you could not get an electric current out of it. Remember conservation of energy. That means that you convert one form of energy into another and you don't create it out of nothing. Well, then there is nuclear power and fusion power....That energy is beyond the classic conversion of energy formula. That is excess energy over what the sun exposes the earth to so it has a net warming effect on the earth's surface. You see steam rising from a nuclear power plant being cooled by water and you are warming the earth with energy in excess of the natural sunlight potential. Yet another global warming factor worse than the trace co2 in the atmosphere that has gone up slightly because of industrial civilization existing.
This is not what your know- it -all politicians and climate change mad media is telling you. It is funny how all the high-brow science engineers at companies like google and Facebook don't know anything about basic physics.
Actually, Google company ditched its green energy generating program because it cost more than it did any good for the company. but now carbon exchange credits that just move the same carbon footprint around for a tax appeal to them. It is insane. The people who know what I do know they are taking advantage of you with their climate change lies. They want you to give up your freedom to make them aristocrats. Funny how climate change always becomes an issue of socialism for you and aristocracy for them.
My science here is good. You can test it out yourself with that infrared camera or thermal detection device.
